• User preferences — Your chosen theme (light/dark/auto), decimal precision setting, and default conversion category.

This locally stored data is used solely to enhance your experience within the App. It never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

4. Data Storage & Security

All data generated by the App is stored exclusively on your device using Android's built-in secure storage mechanisms:

• Conversion history is stored in an on-device SQLite database managed by Android Room.
• User preferences are stored using Android Jetpack DataStore.

No data is stored on external servers, cloud services, or remote databases. Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device encryption and screen lock. We do not have access to any data stored on your device.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

Smart Converter does NOT share any data with third parties. Specifically:

• We do NOT use third-party analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics).
• We do NOT use third-party advertising services or ad SDKs.
• We do NOT use third-party tracking or attribution tools.
• We do NOT integrate with social media platforms.
• We do NOT use any third-party SDKs that collect user data.

The App does not make any network requests. No data is sold, rented, traded, or otherwise disclosed to any third party for any purpose.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over its retention and deletion:

• Clear history — You can delete your conversion history at any time using the clear history option within the App.
• Reset preferences — Uninstalling the App will remove all stored preferences and history.
• Clear App data — You can clear all App data at any time through your device's Settings > Apps > Smart Converter > Clear Data.

We do not retain any data on servers, so there is no remote data to request deletion of.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. Because Smart Converter does not collect any personal data, most of these rights are automatically satisfied.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
